About the designer (You should hire)
My work is digital. I can design from anywhere with clients from everywhere. Over half of my clients I have never met in person. I'd like you to feel comfortable working with someone you may never meet so let me tell you a little about myself.
My name is Jennifer Hautman and I'm originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. I was raised by parents who instilled in me a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility. (Which is rather odd for most artsy-fartsy-designer-types.) Besides loving to create and design, my up-beat personality and communication skills are generally what's most appreciated.
I attended Miami University in Oxford Ohio and received my BFA in Graphic Design. After a couple of weeks at my first design job I distinctly remember thinking to myself “I can't believe they're actually paying me to do this.” (I took that as a sign I made the right decision to not follow my guidance counselor's advice to be a forest ranger.)
Throughout my 20+ year design career I have worked for various graphic design companies and ad agencies. In 1994 I fell in love with the internet and web design and eventually took the leap and started my own web design business in 1997. Over that time I have learned what it takes to stand out and present a professional image. But don't take my word for it. See what others have said about my work.
I have lived in Cincinnati, along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Slidell near New Orleans (went through Katrina) and now reside on the beautiful island of St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. My particular passions are golf, painting, writing and the Option Institute.
